On Site Construction & Installation Service
At the African Thatch Company we employ our own team of highly trained carpenters, joiners and fitters who can carry out the whole gazebo construction and installation process on site. From start to finish, our polite and skilled team will carry out their work with the least amount of disruption to you and your garden. Our construction and installation service is very different to those offered by alternative garden structure companies. We like to refer to it as our USP or unique selling point!
Site Preparation:
Whilst many companies can provide outdoor garden structures, they will all insist on a perfectly level timber, stone or concrete base prior to installing their structures on site. Why is this? Basically the base will have been pre made prior to delivery and installing a structure on a totally unprepared or uneven site would be both unpractical and unacceptable. It is virtually impossible to fit a pre-manufactured base onto an unprepared or uneven site. We can save you the time, hassle and the expense of providing a suitable foundation prior to our structures being installed.
USP - Unique Selling Point:
Our construction service is unique in that our highly skilled team will completely hand build the timber base and flooring on site. This enables us to install all our thatched gazebos onto an unprepared or uneven site. Our on site service enables us to construct a base frame which is made to be perfectly level and is the platform upon which we construct the flooring and gazebo. Another major advantage of this installation method is that our structures can be erected on uneven or sloping sites. We simply supply longer poles to enable the floor to be raised off the ground. Additionally our fitters will clad the outer edges the gazebo base in matching timbers to follow the contours of the uneven ground. When required our structures can be built on piles which are sunk into the ground.
Gazebo Installation:
Once the base has been completed our trained fitters will then commence with the installation of the thatched gazebo. Depending on the size of the structure chosen, our trained fitters will normally complete the on site installation within 2-5 days. It will normally take our fitters one full day to construct the base and flooring. If you are looking for a wooden deck to accommodate your new gazebo, or should you require additional wooden decking areas, we can handle that project for you as well. Our staff will then construct the gazebo installation and assemble or install any optional extras you may have purchased. Once you are completely satisfied with our work the project will then be complete!
Completed Project:
We have constructed all our thatched gazebos and structures in a large number of locations around the UK on a variety of different surfaces. We have installed our thatched structures around hot tubs and spas, on concrete, grass, patios, soil, sand and wooden decks, on cliff edges and even in the middle of a lake! - The list is endless. Once the project has been completed, additional landscaping options such as paving, flowers, shrubs, trees, water features etc can be added. Naturally, we would always advise that your landscaping is added around the thatched structure after construction. Please take a look at our customer testimonials from customers who have been delighted with our construction and installation teams.
Professional Service:
Having your African thatched gazebo professionally constructed and installed on site by our own construction and installation team will save you hundreds if not thousands of pounds: If you calculate the additional cost of providing a suitable base and the total labour cost (if you are not doing the project on your own). This is also often true whether or not you employ an independent joiner or carpenter. Constructing a timber base and flooring from scratch requires advanced carpentry skills. There are many angle and compound angle cuts required. You will also receive a superior built product as not a lot of people have the skills to build a high quality gazebo from scratch.
