Planning Permission For African Cape Reed Thatch Gazebos

Planning Permission

The requirements for planning permission for general garden buildings suggests that all our thatched gazebos and structures would normally fall within Class E, Part 1, Schedule 2 of the planning regulations. This states that planning permission should not be required.

There are many kinds of structures and buildings that can be constructed in your garden or on the land around your house without the need to apply for planning permission.

These include enclosures, garden sheds, garages, gazebos, greenhouses, pet houses, summer houses, swimming pools, sauna cabins, tennis courts and many other types of structures and buildings.

In some circumstances you will need to apply for planning permission. We recommend that you apply for planning permission if any of the following conditions apply:

It is however recommended that you contact your local Planning Authority as to the exact requirement for planning permission in your particular area prior to the installation of any of out African thatched gazebos and structures.

Alternatively you can visit the official government planning and building regulations website: Planning Portal
